XPORT OF MIAMI, Fla. -- Rene & eacute; Rich and Jim Whippo, both of 4462 Burkey Road, Austintown, exchanged marriage vows before officiant Ginette Regaldo on board the Victory 2, Carnival Cruise Lines, during a ceremony at 1 p.m. April 25. They honeymooned on a cruise to Cozumel, Mexico; the Grand Caymens; and Ochio Rios, Jamaica.
The newlyweds were honored May 7 at a postnuptial reception at The Georgetown in Boardman.
The bride is a daughter of David and Karen Rich, 5764 Herbert Road, Canfield. The groom is a son of Janet Newton, 3685 Villa Rosa, Canfield, and Merrill Whippo Sr., Wendover Circle, Austintown.
Sequins and beads enhanced the bride's form-fitting strapless gown designed with a detachable, beaded train. A tiara held her veil.
Mrs. Whippo attended Youngstown State University.
Mr. Whippo is manager or Riverbend Food Service, Youngstown.
Kelly Anzevino of Canfield, the sister of the bride, was honor attendant.
Performing the duties of best man was Jason Neapolitan of Canfield, the cousin of the groom.
The newlyweds live in Austintown.
