Shenango Valley chapter awards 5 scholarships

WEST MIDDLESEX, Pa. -- Shenango Valley Charter Chapter of the American Business Women's Association held its annual scholarship dinner and election of officers May 5 at the Oak Tree Country Club.
Carole Giroski was elected president of the organization, and her associate officers are Jean Keene, vice president; Deb Banic, secretary; and Lorinda Hinch, treasurer.
The chapter also presented five $2,000 scholarships to local students. They are:
UAmber Budzowski, a student at Hickory High School, who will attend Slippery Rock and study elementary and special education.
URobert Erdesky, a Reynolds High School student, who will pursue a degree in computer engineering at Elizabethtown College.
URobert Ippolito, a KCHS student, who will attend Edinboro University of Pennsylvania and study art education and theater.
UMaria Rodgers, a student at Kennedy Catholic High School, who will attend St. Francis University to pursue a degree as a physician's assistant.
ULaura Selenchik, a freshman at Slippery Rock University who is majoring in psychology.
