Babe Ruth (ages 14-15)
Kelley-Robb 4, Wharmby Sports 1 -- Marc Kanetsky pitched seven innings for the win, had three hits and scored twice. Alex Chick and John Madeline each had a hit and scored a run. Nick McCartney, Bradley Blevins and P.J. Finley each had a single for Wharmby's. Mark Lapikas doubled.
Rondinelli Tuxedo 5, Howland AC 2 -- Cory Nesbitt had nine strikeouts and hit a double. Cory Collins had two hits while Matt Katich, Mike Hoelzel, Roberto Morales and Jason Ferguson all added key hits for Rondinelli. Shaun Soukenik tripled for Howland.
Sluggers 5, Salem AC 2.
Babe Ruth (age 13)
Line Drive 2, Rondinelli 1 -- Nick Crum pitched a complete game four-hitter, striking out five. Crum and Corey Hill had two hits each, while Hill drove in both runs. Nick DiNello had two hits for Rondinelli.
Little b League
Rondinelli Tuxedo 11, Dave Sugar Excavating 10 -- Josh Lawrence hit a grand slam in the bottom of the seventh inning with two outs to send the game into extra innings as Rondinelli came from six down in the inning. Ryan Kellar singled home Tom Popadak in the eighth inning for the win. Jimmy Bigley pitched five innings of relief with eight strikeouts for the win. Joe Moran was 3-for-3 for Sugar with a double.
Rondinelli Tuxedo 10, Youngstown Express 0 -- Matt Bable fell short of a perfect game as one batter reached base on an error, but he still pitched a no-hitter with 15 strikeouts and no walks in six innings. Cody Anderson and Ryan Kellar keyed the offense for Rondinelli with two hits each.
Tri-T Pony (ages 13-14)
Poland Perkins Builders 12, Struthers Gridiron 3 -- Winning pitcher Wes Wagner's three-run homer led Poland's 12-hit attack. David White had three singles while Mark Carlozzi and Tim Dennison each had two hits and two RBIs. For Struthers, Dan Mathews had two singles and L.J. Schromofsky doubled.
SOFTBALLTri-T Pony (ages 13-14)
Boardman Diamond Steel 9, Vienna Hurricanes 0 -- Shannon Morrow struck out nine while throwing a two-hitter. Khala Walls had two hits while Mimi Cercone scored three times to pace the offense. Heather Shaddan and Ashley Hoffman had hits for Vienna.
