Music festival includes panel, performances

GIRARD -- Musicians of all ages are invited to attend a panel discussion that's part of a Memorial Weekend Music Fest at The Dome Concert Club, 1300 N. State St.
Panelists will include Tom Sabella of RegionRock.com, whose background is in entertainment marketing and internships; Billy Morris, a musician, producer and engineer at Lava Room Recordings; and Jill Paschen, owner of Chris's Warped Records in Lakewood, near Cleveland.
Admission is $5. Doors will open at noon, and the discussion will begin at 1 p.m.
Live performances are scheduled tonight through Sunday at The Dome, where a "Battle of the Bands/Battle for Your Fans" contest is winding down. Nine bands will perform beginning at 7 tonight; 10 more bands will take the stage beginning at 7 p.m. Saturday; and five bands will perform at 7 p.m. Sunday. The contest winner will be announced at 10:30 p.m. Sunday.
