Citizens Award
COLUMBUS -- Joseph Warino, Mahoning County sanitary engineer since 1997, recently received the 2004 Citizens Award from the Ohio Public Health Association for his leadership in community health.
Warino was recognized for obtaining grants to pay the entire cost of building sanitary sewer systems in Damascus and Petersburg. He also has served as a volunteer member and elected officer of the Healthy Valley Commission for Community Health that published Mahoning County's first community health improvement plan in 1998.
Founded in 1925, the association consists of public health nurses and physicians, health educators and environmental scientists.

OSU dentistry grad
Molly McLaughlin of Austintown has graduated from Ohio State University's School of Dentistry.
Dr. McLaughlin is the daughter of Thomas S. McLaughlin of Austintown and the late Janet Hardie McLaughlin. She earned her bachelor's degree from Xavier University in Cincinnati. She has accepted a position in the Youngstown/Warren area and will begin her practice July 1.

Passes the bar
Donald L. Kline II, a graduate of Poland Seminary High School, has passed the Ohio State BarExamination.
Atty. Kline received his bachelor's degree in pre-law and communications from Ohio University. He earned his law degree from Thomas Cooley Law School, Lansing, Mich.
He works for George Leach Associates, a Columbus firm. He is the son of the Rev. Dr. and Mrs. D. Larry Kline of Liberty. Dr. Kline is pastor of Trinity United Methodist Church, Youngstown. Atty. Kline's fiancee, Tiffany Kaiser, is an assistant Ohio attorney general, assigned to the office's criminal division.
