As everyone knows, a little charm will get you far in life. Make it charms, and you'll end up on the cool and trendy list.
Time magazine notes that lucky charms were dangling from Prada's miniature leather handbag straps in Milan's runway show last month. What's more, the Gap is selling $5 plastic charms. And status lines such as Bottega Veneta and Louis Vuitton are offering charms on elastic bands to curl around your cell phone.
It may be as much in the gilding as the charms. Nike's customized $800 Air Force high top sneakers decked out with gold chains and crystals are winning over the hip-hop set such as Missy Elliott big time, Nylon magazine reported recently.
