Warren Jr. Women's League installs officers, plans events

WARREN -- Officers who will head the Warren Junior Women's League during the 2004-2005 season were installed at a meeting held May 5 at the Great American Stake-Out in Niles.
Inducted were Esther Gartland, president; Stephanie Currie, first vice president; Jan Elliott, second vice president; Cathy Unger, secretary; and Renee Mojorca, treasurer.
The officers announced they will work to bring together women interested in literary, artistic and philanthropic projects with the objective of rendering them helpful to each other and to the community.
Women interested in joining the organization can receive a membership application by writing Jan Elliott, membership chairman, 2868 Beaver Trail, Cortland, Ohio 44484, or by calling (330) 637-0193 before the Aug. 10 deadline. Incoming provisional members will be honored at a tea to be held in August.
Planned as major fund-raisers are a June 12 golf outing at Avalon South and a champagne luncheon to be held Nov. 19.
