'Crime & amp; Punishment' to return for another season

Much has been made of the massive deal between NBC Universal and producer Dick Wolf for the continuation of the "Law & amp; Order" franchise, which will include four shows by the middle of next season.
Now comes word that NBC is bringing back "L & amp;O's" unscripted companion, "Crime & amp; Punishment," for another season this summer.
"Crime & amp; Punishment" will return to the network's schedule starting June 12. The show will once again follow prosecutors in San Diego's district attorney's office. Wolf and Oscar-winning documentarian Bill Guttentag ("You Don't Have to Die," "Twin Towers") are among the executive producers.
"What Bill and his team have done is unprecedented in television," Wolf says. "He has single-handedly raised the bar on reality television to make a series that looks and feels like a cross between an Oscar-caliber documentary and an Emmy-honored prime-time series."
Among the cases "Crime & amp; Punishment" will track this season are a murder, a kidnapping and a well-publicized prosecution against the producers of a "bum fights" video, in which homeless men were paid to be filmed beating each other up.
