Angels 1, Yankees 0, 11 innings
ANAHEIM, Calif. -- Adam Riggs hit a bases-loaded single over a drawn-in outfield in the 11th inning, giving Anaheim a victory over New York. Riggs, called up from the minors earlier in the day to replace injured third baseman Troy Glaus, came through against Paul Quantrill (4-2).
Scot Shields (3-0) pitched two perfect innings for the win, and Vladimir Guerrero threw out a runner at the plate in the ninth. The Yankees finished with only three hits -- one after the third inning.

SEATTLE -- Daniel Cabrera won for the second time since he was called up from the minors last week, leading Baltimore over Seattle. Larry Bigbie homered off Freddy Garcia (1-3) and drove in three runs for the Orioles, who won for only the fourth time in 23 games at Safeco Field. Seattle has lost eight of nine, dropping to 13-25 and falling 12 games under .500 for the first time since Sept. 14, 1998.

NATIONAL LEAGUE
Giants 1, Cubs 0
CHICAGO -- Jason Schmidt pitched a career-best one-hitter with 13 strikeouts, and Barry Bonds gave San Francisco a much-needed spark. The right-hander, who beat Matt Clement (5-3), matched his career high for strikeouts.
Bonds, back in the lineup after missing a weekend series against Pittsburgh because of back spasms, scored the only run after walking in the fourth. Pedro Feliz drove in Bonds with a single.
