Teenager pleads guilty in slaying of woman

COLUMBUS (AP) -- A 16-year-old Columbus boy pleaded guilty to involuntary manslaughter Monday for his role in the killing of a woman who was burned alive in the trunk of her car.
Andre Conley will be sentenced to 26 years in prison for the slaying of Andrea Nance, 24. Without the plea deal, he faced life in prison without parole.
As part of the plea agreement, Conley will testify against his alleged accomplice, Marcus Sellers, 17, of Columbus.
With robbery in mind, the two youths allegedly abducted Nance on March 8 in the parking lot of her Columbus apartment complex, forced her into the trunk and drove around for awhile before parking it.
Prosecutors said the pair returned the next morning, crashed the car into a ravine and set it on fire. An autopsy determined Nance died of smoke inhalation.
An ATM camera's photo of Sellers using Nance's credit card implicated the pair.
