Wisconsin captures Big Ten track title



WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (AP) -- Wisconsin freshman Demi Omole won the 100-meter dash and anchored the winning 4x400 relay squad to lead the Badgers to their fourth Big Ten outdoor track and field championship in five years Sunday.
Wisconsin trailed defending champion Minnesota by 28 points with just four of the 21 events remaining. When it was over, Wisconsin outpointed Minnesota 165-157. Ohio State finished third, followed by Indiana and Purdue.
Michigan's women's team won its third straight conference outdoor title with 148 points.
Indoor champion Penn State came in second with 126.5. Illinois came in third, Ohio State was fourth and Michigan State, fifth.
