Grove City
Baseball players Mike Gundy (Grand Rapids, Mich.) and Mike Ritter (Moon Township, Pa.) earned CoSIDA Academic All-District II College Division baseball second team honors. A junior right-hander, Gundy went 1-2 with one save and a 1.33 ERA. He appeared in eight games, including three starts, and walked six in 27 innings. An accounting major, Gundy has a 3.98 grade-point average and is a five-time Dean's List honoree. Gundy is also a Presidential Scholar and is the treasurer for the college's Omicron Delta Kappa national honor society chapter. He is president and past treasurer of Grove City's Fellowship of Christian Athletes chapter and has been inducted into the Delta Mu Delta and the Operation Top Management business honorary organizations. Gundy has been named to the PAC Academic Honor Roll twice and is a member of the Grove City College Accounting Society.
Ritter started 26 games at shortstop and hit .318. He was named first team All-PAC. Ritter has a 3.89 GPA majoring in molecular biology and the interdisciplinary major of psychology-philosophy. Ritter is a Presidential Scholar and Dean's List honoree. He is the president and past treasurer of Grove City's Two Books Club. Ritter has also been awarded PAC Academic Honor Roll status and is a member of Grove City's Roundtable men's honorary. He is also a member of the college's Orientation Board for freshman student orientation as well as the New Life ministry.
Thiel
Caleb Goist (Columbiana) was named to the CoSIDA All-District II College Division baseball team. Goist started 38 games at shortstop this season and finished with a .364 batting average, 38 RBIs and 30 runs scored. He finished tied for the top spot in the PAC in RBIs (38) and doubles (14), third in hits (55) and fifth in runs scored (30). Goist is the school's career leader in most offensive categories, including at-bats (559), runs scored (125), doubles (42), hits (199) and is second in career batting average (.356).

CLEVELAND -- Four members of the baseball team, which posted its fourth 20-win season in the last five years, were named to the All-North Coast Athletic Conference team. Senior outfielder Joe Marzano (Cardinal Mooney), a second team All-Mideast Region pick in 2003, was named to the All-NCAC first team for the second straight year. Junior newcomer Jeremy Krol (LaBrae) was tabbed for the second team, while senior pitcher Nick Strozewski and junior infielder/outfielder Derek Stanton (Warren JFK) both received honorable mention.
