Tri-T Pony (ages 13-14)
Austintown Armstrong Cable 6, Poland Perkins 1 -- Dom Drummond, Jeff Rozzi and Jimmy Kinnick combined on a two-hitter. Chris Bigelow and Dustin Blakeman paced Austintown offensively, while Tim Dennison and Drew Petro had hits for Poland.
Rondinelli Tuxedo 9, Line Drive Academy 6 -- Danny Baco pitched seven innings to lead Rondinelli Tuxedo to victory over Line Drive Academy. Shawn Roman, Dominic Jackett, John Simon and Jerrod Meeder all had two hits apiece for Rondinelli, while Corey Hill had two hits for Line Drive.
Austintown Armstrong Cable 15, Columbiana Legion 7 -- Jeff Rozzi homered while Jimmy Kinnick, Tommy Cheslik and Dom Smaldino slapped two hits each to pace Austintown's offensive attack. Jon Welsh had two hits for Columbiana.
Canfield Aim Nationalease 16 Springfield 5 -- Steven Schoenfeld went 3-4 while Dom Rich and Jake Kucek added two hits apiece. Brian Fox picked up the win for Canfield. Springfield was led by Travis Richey, Dean Persing and Joe Musial with two hits each.
Austintown Armstrong Cable 11, Boardman Lazart 6 -- Colin Hoelzel and Jeff Rozzi each hit home runs for Austintown. Marc Lutz and Dom Smaldino added a pair of hits in the victory. Mark Planery and Chad Koblanski had two hits each for Boardman.
Howland 8, AllStar Sports 3 -- Andy Zigmont, Joe Aulizia, and Jared Kirin combined for 10 hits to lead Howland to a 8-3 victory over AllStar Sports. Matt Krause and Matt Adamo each had a double for AllStar Sports.
Line Drive 9, Astro Falcons 8 -- Astro Falcons capped off their offense scoring three runs in the top of the fifth inning making the score 8 to 2. Line Drive Academy scored five in the bottom of the fifth and Zach Struharik held the Falcons scoreless in the sixth and seventh innings. Line Drive completed their comeback when they scored two runs in the bottom of the seventh inning.
Canfield Aim Nationalease 12, Columbiana Post 290 2 -- Jake Kucek, Brian Fox, Jared Turocy and Anthony Gromada combined to pitch a one-hitter, striking out nine batters. Fox and Gromada also added two hits. Logan Goist had a hit for Columbiana.
Babe Ruth (ages 14-15)
Belleria Pizza 4, Kelley Robb 3 -- Andy Richey's two-out bases-loaded double drove in three runs for Belleria after Kelly Robb had scored two runs in the top of the eighth to go ahead 3-1.
Rondinelli Tuxedo 7, Wharmby Sports 0 -- Cory Collins pitched a one-hitter with 12 strikeouts in five innings. Chuck Olesky had three hits, one a double, while Matt Katich, Jesse Moses and Cory Nesbitt also doubled for Rondinelli. Bradley Blevins had Wharmby's only hit.
Howland 10, All Star Sports 7 -- Brendan Solarz gave up eight hits and struck out 7 while pitching a complete game. Solarz also went 3-for-4 at the plate, scoring twice. Mike Pappas added a single and double and two RBIs, and Shawn Pelo had two RBIs to lead the Howland attack. Chris May and Jeff Bruno added two hits each for All Star Sports.
Babe Ruth (age 13)
Rondinelli Tuxedo 10, Wharmby Sports 4 -- Vince Pensa and Jerrod Meeder combined to pitch the victory. John Simon had three hits, while Danny Baco, Nick Dinello and Vince Pensa each had two hits for Rondinelli. Jamie Shephard had two hits for Wharmby Sports, including a home run.
Pony fast-pitch softball (ages 14 and under)
Boardman Diamond Steel 11, Poland Springfield Grille 1 -- Shannon Morrow pitched a three-hitter with six strikeouts in five innings. Makala Gasparek and Justine Cullen had two hits each, and Brittany Burin added a triple. For Poland, Alissa Cooper had a double.
