Struthers Rotary plans scramble as fund-raiser

Prizes to be awarded for individual and team play.
HUBBARD -- Struthers Rotary Club is inviting area golfers to join a golf-outing where they will be able to compete for prizes while supporting community projects sponsored by the club.
Billed as a four-man scramble, the benefit event will be held June 4 at Pine Lakes Golf Course in Hubbard. Featured at the event will be a continental breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Individual players will compete for prizes such as a $5,000 shopping spree, a two-year lease on a Nissan, and a $10,000 cash prize. Awards also will be presented for the individuals who drive closest to the pin, have the longest putt, the shortest drive, or the longest drive.
The first-place winning team will receive $400, second place, $200, and third place, $100.
There will also be a number of door prizes, and a 50-50 raffle will be held.
The cost for the entire day is $80 per golfer, and a four-man team plus a hole sponsor is $425. The fee for those attending the dinner only is $25. Hole sponsorships are available for $150.
