COLUMBUS -- Edson Buddle scored in the 41st minute and Jon Busch tied the franchise record with his 11th shutout to help Columbus to its first victory of the season. Buddle scooped up the ball after Frankie Hejduk's cross was deflected off several players, and fired a low, hard shot past goalkeeper Matt Reis. Busch, who matched Brad Friedel's shutout record, made three key saves in the second half. Both teams are 1-3-2.
United 1, Wizards 0
WASHINGTON -- Jaime Moreno capped a brilliant 30-yard run with a 20-yard shot in the 75th minute to help D.C. United win for the first time since its opening game. Freddy Adu returned to the role of second-half substitute, playing 24 minutes with a couple of nice touches on the left flank. The 14-year-old player didn't attempt a shot. D.C. United improved to 2-3-2, and Kansas City dropped to 2-2-2.
MetroStars 1, Fire 1
EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- Ante Razov scored his 75th career MLS goal in the 51st minute to pull Chicago even. Razov, fifth on the league's career scoring list, beat goalkeeper Jonny Walker with a left foot shot. MetroStars rookie Fabian Taylor opened the scoring in the 13th minute. The Fire (2-1-4) remained a point ahead of the MetroStars (2-1-3) for first place in the Eastern Conference.

DALLAS -- Landon Donovan and Brian Ching scored first-half goals to lead San Jose. San Jose (2-2-3) has beaten Dallas seven straight times. Eddie Johnson scored for the Burn (2-2-2). Dallas has lost two straight after opening with a four-game unbeaten streak.

LONDON -- Arsenal completed the first undefeated league season in 115 years at the top level of English soccer, rallying for a 2-1 home victory against Leicester on Saturday. Arsenal (26-0-12) already had clinched the Premier League title and finished with 90 points. It matched the undefeated feat of Preston North End in 1889, but that club won only 18 and tied four. Italy's AC Milan in 1992 was the last to pull off an undefeated league season in one of Europe's top five leagues, going 22-0-12.
