BOARDMAN -- Liberty's Richard Baroff placed first and his brother, Ryan, took third in sectional singles competition at Saturday's Division II tennis tournament at Boardman Tennis Center.
Both qualified for next week's district tournament at Massillon Jackson Community Courts.

Ryan Baroff defeated Jefferson's Alex Chayka, 6-3, 6-3, to take third place. The top four singles players and doubles teams advance to the district tournament.

Jefferson's doubles team of Alex Martin and Josh Patterson won by default over teammates Ryan Caruso and Ben Childs to take third.
The matches were moved to the Boardman Tennis Center due to rain.
