SCOPE Inc. of Trumbull County has advance tickets available for the 2004 senior follies, "Applause, Applause," to be presented at 7 p.m. June 5 and 2 p.m. June 6 at Lakeview High School auditorium in Cortland. Also performing in the follies are singer Carol Bovee, classical musician Audrey Freeman, the duet of Bill Smith and Jane Christopher, the Senior Sensations, the Howland SCOPE Tappers, Deb's Jazz Dancers, the Studio Dancers and SCOPE Rhythm Band. Master of ceremonies will be Bill Lisby, comedian and ventriloquist. The original musical was written, directed and produced by Jason Burgemeyer.
Senior Center of Mahoning County, 1110 Fifth Ave., Youngstown, has planned the following activities: Monday, outing to Lock 24 at 10:30 a.m., bridge and Follies at 1 p.m.; Tuesday, New Middletown satellite, oil painting and exercises at 10, computer class at 10 and noon, blood pressure screening from noon to 1 p.m., chorus at 1 and digital club at 2; Wednesday, Lake Milton satellite, watercolor and computer classes at 10, tai chi at noon, blood pressure screening at 12:30 p.m. and yoga and 500 card club at 1; Thursday, woodcarvers and TOPS at 9, Boardman satellite and Touching Lives group at 10, blood pressure screenings at 10:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m., square dancing at 1, and line dancing at 3; and Friday, Sebring Fun Day at 10 and crafts at 12:30.
