XYOUNGSTOWN -- Nuptial vows were exchanged during a 1 p.m. ceremony as Sarah Walfish and David J. Gedeon, both of 7281 Forest Cove Lane, Northfield, were united in marriage April 17 at St. Brendan Church.
The Rev. James Daprile officiated at the wedding for the daughter of Warren and Nancy Walfish, 1167 Cookhill Circle, Akron, and son of James and Ellen Gedeon, 43 S. Brockway Drive.
After accepting congratulations at a reception at the Akron-Fairlawn Hilton, the couple left on a wedding trip to Hawaii. They live in Northfield.
Annie Walfish of Akron served as honor attendant for her sister, and the bridesmaid was Karla Richard of Euclid. They wore baby pink gowns.
The duties of best man were performed by Louis Joseph of Bloomington, Ind., and groomsmen were Gabriel Crish of Youngstown, and Aaron Christy of Columbus.
The bride, a nurse practitioner with Summa Health System in Akron, earned a bachelor's and a master's degree in nursing from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland.
The groom graduated from Ohio State University, Columbus, with a bachelor's degree, and from the University of Denver in Colorado with a master's of taxation degree.
