Benefit golf outing to be held in Hubbard



Play for 128 golfers will be a four-man scramble.
HUBBARD --Mahoning Valley Association of Insurance and Financial Advisers of Farmdale is sponsoring the seventh annual Swing for Life Golf Classic as a benefit for LifeBanc's promotion of organ and tissue donation in northeast Ohio and the Eastern Regional Kidney Foundation.
The event will be a four-man scramble to take place June 18 at Pine Lakes Golf Course in Hubbard.
Day's events
Activities will include a complimentary continental breakfast and registration beginning at 8:30 a.m. Play will begin with a shotgun start at 10:30. Lunch will be available at the turn, and a dinner is scheduled for 3 p.m.
The cost for the 18-hole event is $100. There will be a limit of 128 golfers, and soft spikes are required. There will be a $25 fee for those attending the dinner only.
Prizes will include $500 for first place, $250 for second and $100 for third. Prizes to be won for any hole-in-one on a par 3 hole include a two-year lease on a 2004 Dodge. Two sports packages will be raffled at the outing, and there will be a raffle for a Cleveland Brown expansion team football signed by the players.
