SOFTBALL Conger, Graf top two as Poland defeats Struthers in tournament



STRUTHERS -- Mallory Conger and Steffi Graf led Poland to a 7-0 win over Struthers Tuesday in the Division II softball tournament.
Conger (14-3) pitched a complete-game four-hitter with four strikeouts and no walks. She went 4-for-4 with a double and three RBIs.
Graf also went 4-for-4 with a double and scored three times.
The top-seeded Bulldogs (18-4) will face Hubbard at the Hubbard High School district Tuesday at 3:30 p.m.
Edgewood 12, Liberty 0
ASHTABULA -- Jaci Neczeporenko pitched a perfect game for Edgewood.
Second-seeded Edgewood (20-2) scored four runs in the first inning and eight more in the seventh against the Leopards (3-13).
Amber Adley hit a home run and single and drove in three runs, while teammate Pam Dreslinski hit three singles and scored twice.
Regular season
LEAVITTSBURG -- Kasey Karr pitched a five-hitter with four strikeouts and one walk as Champion clinched a tie for the Trumbull Athletic Conference title with a 4-1 win over LaBrae.
Karr added a triple and a single for Champion (17-4, 12-2). Lauren Seafert had two singles and two RBIs, and Jessica Carpenter added two hits.
The Golden Flashes can win the title outright if Newton Falls drops one of its remaining league games.
Boardman 4, Canton McKinley 1
CANTON -- Ashley DiDomenico (10-2) pitched a four-hitter with eight strikeouts and no walks while Sarah Albani had two singles and two RBIs to lead Boardman in a Federal League game.
Meagan Cuningham and Mallory Hay each had an RBI for the Spartans (17-2, 8-1).
