WARREN -- They are names and faces that have become synonymous with United Way of Trumbull County through the years, and now they are ready to lead the charge again.
United Way of Trumbull County elected community leaders as officers and members of the boards of directors and trustees during an organizational meeting last week.
"These are people who have been with us for some time, though we do have a few new faces," said Chris Malanga, director of communications for the agency.
Malanga said those elected to the organization's board of directors also serve on the board of trustees, since some of the duties overlap.
"The board of directors serves as a decision-making body, while the board of trustees are a liaison between that body and the agencies we represent," Malanga said.
Officers elected to the 2004-2005 term were Chairman Michael P. Craig, principal with Hill, Barth and King; First Vice Chairman Diane R. Sauer, president of Diane Sauer Chevrolet; Second Vice Chairman Donald E. Moore, vice president of Trumco Insurance Agency; Secretary Evelyn H. McGhee, technical expert with the Social Security Administration; and Treasurer Jerry McGee, executive vice president and chief financial officer of Seven Seventeen Credit Union.
Edward C. Taylor, retired quality supervisor for the General Motors Lordstown assembly plant, will serve as immediate past chairman, while Thomas J. Krysiek will serve as president and chief financial officer.
