Body is identified
DAYTON (AP) -- A body found in some brush at a nursery was identified Monday as that of a 30-year-old woman reported missing from her apartment more than seven months ago.
The badly decomposed body of Michelle Napier, mother of three young children, was discovered wrapped in a tarpaulin-type material Friday on the grounds of Siebenthaler Co. by a caretaker who was trimming bushes.
Montgomery County Sheriff David Vore said there was trauma to the body and that investigators believe the woman knew her attacker because there was no sign of forced entry to her suburban Harrison Township apartment when she disappeared Oct. 4.
Napier's apartment is about four miles from the nursery.
