Shirilla jubilee is celebrated at luncheon

XPOLAND -- Mr. and Mrs. Nicholas Andrew Shirilla, 8362 Van Drive, were guests of honor May 8 during a luncheon by invitation held at Johnny's Fine Food and Spirits in Youngstown in celebration of their 50th wedding anniversary.
Hosting the event were the honorees' children and their spouses, Nicholas and Melanie Shirilla of Boardman, James and Julie Shirilla of Powell, and Susan and John Emrich of Medina.
The former Dorothy Cundik and Mr. Shirilla were married May 8, 1954, at the Nativity of Christ Church in Youngstown.
Retiring in 1995, Mrs. Shirilla was the office manager at Allied Erecting in Youngstown.
Mr. Shirilla retired in 1992 from Delphi Packard Electric Systems in Warren, where he was a mold setter.
The couple are members of St. John the Baptist Orthodox Church in Campbell and the Campbell O Club. Mrs. Shirilla also is a member of garden and card clubs, and her husband is a member of Youngstown Baseball Old Timers.
The family circle includes six grandchildren.
