"What the World Will be Like"
I believe the world will be very different in the future. For example, all of our doors will be controlled by remote control. Robots will be used to clean for us and to get us food or drink. You won't have to drive your car; all you will have to do is get in your car and tell it where to take you. Or even perhaps, skateboards and scooters will be replaced by water-powered air packs that will get us to our friend's house in no time flat. Yes, the future will be much different than we know it today, because we are the generation that will make it happen.

"My Vision for Youngstown -- 2103"
My vision of Youngstown in the year 2103 will be one of old, messy streets being fixed and criminal rates will be low. I envision downtown being built over. I see the environment cleaner and the community will be safer than it is today. My vision for Youngstown is that there will be more learning programs open to the community. I see more factories and stores being built. I also see more schools being built so adults and children alike can learn. I see civil rights people or heroes coming into town to tell us about the price they paid. Also I see a black woman as president.
My vision for Youngstown in the year 2103 is that there will be a low gun killing population. Violence and killing will be less than it is today. People will love to live here and agree to come to Youngstown to work. The attitude of Youngstown will never be a problem.

I believe in the year 2103 Youngstown, Ohio, will be great. I think technology will expand. There may be hovercraft cars that fly. More factories will open because of the new inventions and there will be many jobs. Because of the new jobs, people will move here looking for one and we will become more populated.
Children may not have to use books in school or write everything down. Maybe there will be a new invention to do it all for us.
Hard chores will be simplified. There will be many wonderful opportunities for teenagers to begin their lives because of the large amount of jobs. Maybe Youngstown will expand because of the population and join with another city.
Also I believe it will have less segregation. People may begin to get along better. By then I am sure there will be a woman president, possibly even an African-American woman president.
Well, those are my views and hopes for our wonderful city of Youngstown.

"The Future of Youngstown"
Youngstown is a great place to live. There is a lot of things to offer here. In the past it was great and the present is even better. This makes you wonder, will the future be even better than this?
In the years before I was born, when my mother was my age, Youngstown was a growing city. Downtown was a spectacular scene. Shops and stores and movie theaters were the most popular places to go. Things were cheap and it was a wonderful life to live. My mom and her family lived in Youngstown all their lives, and they say Youngstown is a wonderful place.
The present Youngstown, where we currently are, is much better. Things are more expensive but they are more useful than the things of the past. Cell phones, computers, and video games are devices that make our lives more fun and easy. If we have all this technology now, imagine all we will have in 2103.
The future is unexplained. No one can tell you exactly what will become of Youngstown, but we can guess. I think the city of Youngstown will be a city with robots running places and doing tasks that people today consider hard to do. I hope Youngstown stays a healthy, loving community with diverse cultures and many different kinds of races and personalities.
These are my views on the future and everyone has a different view, so if you are reading this in 2103, I hope you understand what life was like in the time you consider the past.

"Youngstown"
In the past five years, the city of Youngstown has made significant strides in progress in the area of urban planning and renewal. Our redesigned school system, convocation center, downtown restructuring, and our university system should have their end results realized. I imagine Youngstown looking completely different aesthetically and stereotypically. The stigma of "fallen city," "mob town," and "murder city" will be erased and will only be folklore. City walls expanding, new businesses and a complete economic makeover will be apparent. In all this change there will be two constants and cornerstones: Youngstown State University and the power of the people.
I believe that as Youngstown State University develops, grows, and changes, so will the surrounding city. Youngstown State University will increase in prestige and attract a variety of students as it continues to become the leader in various and new fields such as home technology and education. As mentioned before, the restructuring of the Youngstown School System will turn out some of the best students this country has seen. Finally, our youth, our most untapped resource, will be given the opportunity to shine.
With all this potential and promise, I see Youngstown moving into the upper echelon of cites such as Columbus, Ohio; Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; and Cincinnati, Ohio. If our progress continues, I see our area being a competitor for the sponsorship of the 2104 Summer Olympic games.

"Youngstown, 2103"
My vision of the city of Youngstown for the year 2103 is to have downtown Youngstown beautiful again. At night downtown should be lit up with a lot of lights. There should be lots of things for children and teens. Downtown should have shopping stores and theaters again.
In 2103 I would also like to see new and improved schools. There should be three new high schools, three new middle schools, and three new elementary schools. Our school system should be more advanced with computers and education. The school should be so improved, children would want to go to school.
There should also be more jobs available. Right now in 2004, our job industry is not good at all. In 2103, our job industry should be great. I hope to see more jobs available to people in our city. With Youngstown State University being a big success with people graduating, our job industry should grow.
In 2103 I also hope to see Youngstown State University grow. By 2103 they should have every academic major you can think of. I just hope our city grows and becomes beautiful. We all just need to work together and make our city how we want it.
