IAAP Yo-Mah-O Chapter honors executive, member of the year

BOARDMAN -- Members of Yo-Mah-O Chapter, International Association of Administrative Professionals, held their annual Administrative Professionals Day and Executive Night Banquet April 21 at Antone's Banquet Centre.
Honored were Ron Sebest as Executive of the Year and Christine J. Simone, Member of the Year.
Sebest is vice president of Melmor Associates Inc. in Niles, a company that buys and sells used material-handling equipment. He was nominated by Simone, his administrative assistant.
Sebest, who has worked with Melmor for 20 years, lives in Campbell with his wife, Linda. They have three children. Barbara Sofranec, banquet chairperson, presented the award.
Simone, the chapter's 2003 Member of the Year, is the office manager at Melmor and has worked there 19 years. She has been a chapter member since 1999 and is serving as president. She has been corresponding secretary, has served on various committees and is Ohio Division Certification Committee chairperson.
Simone also is pursuing a degree in information technology Youngstown State University. Rebecca Hildack presented the award.
Speaker for the evening was Judge John M. Durkin.
