XNEWPORT-MALPAS, South Wales -- Helen Pearson, Malpas Park, Newport Gwent, became the bride of Matthew James Kirtley of Cambridge, Mass., during a ceremony at 1 p.m. April 17 at St. Mary Church with vicar David Parfitt officiating.
A reception held was at Celtic Manor Resort, Newport, for the daughter of Jennifer and Malcolm Pearson of the Malpas Park address and the son of Georgann and Jim Kirtley of Canfield.
After a honeymoon to the Grand Canary Islands, the couple live in Cambridge.
Mrs. Kirtley graduated from the University of Wales, Swansea, with a degree in English literature. She is employed in human resources with The Numbers/Info XXX, Cardiff, Wales.
Mr. Kirtley graduated from the University of Cincinnati with a degree in computer engineering and attended the University of Wales. He is a computer engineer with Raytheon Corp., Tewksbury, Mass.
Seed pearls and crystals adorned the bride's strapless satin gown.
Honor attendant was Michelle Pearson. Bridesmaids were Rachel Weeks, Nikki Aizlewood, Bethan Hancock and Katy Hancock. They wore ice-blue dresses. Flower girl was Ellie Reynolds.
Best man was John Kirtley. Groomsmen were Timothy Kirtley, Stephen Kirtley and James Skrobola. Ushers were Richard Kirtley and Mark Ferri. Page boy was Ryan Prance.
Also participating were Angela Brennan, Melissa Kirtley and Charity Kirtley.
