ASSOCIATIONS
XO-My-O Chapter of American Business Women's Association will celebrate Education Night May 20 at Davidson's Restaurant, 3636 Canfield Road, Cornersburg. There will be a social hour at 6 and a buffet dinner at 6:30. Meals include chicken breast, Italian sausage, potatoes, vegetable, salad, rolls, beverage and cake. The cost is $13. The Marilyn Hendricks Memorial Scholarship will be presented to Kelly Kosek of Poland. "Enjoy Life -- This is Not a Dress Rehearsal" will be the theme of Marianna Frederick, keynote speaker. XThe Women of Youngstown Area Newcomers Club will meet at 11:30 a.m. May 26 at Fonderlac Country Club, New Springfield. Installation of officers is planned. The club's donation will go to AIDS Ministry. For reservations call (330) 533-4104.
XThe Polish Arts Club will meet at 1 p.m. May 16 at Sacred Heart of Jesus Polish National Church, 720 Cameron Ave., Youngstown. The board meeting will be at 1 p.m., and the general meeting at 1:30. There will be election of officers. Cost of the lunch is $7.
XWest Side Coalition of the fourth and fifth wards will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Knights of Columbus Hall, 640 Industrial Road. The speaker will be Carol Rimedio-Richetti, who will discuss the 2010 Plan. For more information contact Geri Deluca, (330) 799-2873.
POLITICAL
XLeague of Women Voters of Trumbull County will hold its annual meeting May 15 at the Avalon Inn in Howland. Brunch will begin at 9:30 a.m., and the cost is $12. The agenda will include review of the organization's current positions for Children Services and Voter Service as well as election of several officers and approval of the budget. A Chinese auction will follow. Guests who want to learn more about the league are encouraged to attend. XWestern Reserve Republican Women will meet at 11:30 a.m. Friday at Denny's restaurant, Boardman-Canfield Road, with Hazel Bieber presiding. The speaker will be Paul Berringer, prisoner of war.
RELIGIOUS
XDiocesan Infant Jesus of Prague Guild will hold its monthly Mass at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Holy Trinity Church in Struthers. The rosary will precede Mass at 9:30 a.m. The public is welcome. For information call (330) 747-9537.
