"My Flesh and Blood" (6:30 p.m., HBO) follows a year in the life of Susan Tom, a single mom rearing 11 adopted children -- all with special needs. This "America Undercover" documentary, which won two Sundance awards, focuses on the chaotic life Tom leads and gives insight into how her children cope, from Joe, a 15-year-old with cystic fibrosis and bipolar disorder, to the supersmart Faith, an 8-year old who was severely burned by her parents when she was an infant.
Researcher Holly Carroll tracks a troop of yellow baboons in Tanzania during a "Wild Kingdom" special, "Wild Ladies of Viramba" (7 p.m., Animal Planet). It's the females of this ape group who handle the day-to-day acts that are essential to baboon survival. The males leave the troop at age 8, but the females stay for life, about 40 years.
It's the network premiere of the story of an orphaned boy who learns his real parents were wizards in "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone" (7 p.m., ABC). There will be a 10-minute preview of the upcoming theatrical film "Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban," at the conclusion.
"Mothers and Daughters in Hollywood" (8 p.m., A & amp;E) looks at how family life is affected by the celebrity spotlight includes the recollections of actresses such as Diane Ladd, mother of Laura Dern, and Tippi Hedren, mother of Melanie Griffith.
It seems that math geniuses from MIT really did outsmart the casinos in Las Vegas, at least for a while. "Breaking Vegas" (9 p.m., History Channel) tells the story that was detailed in a best seller, "Bringing Down the House: The Inside Story of Six MIT Students Who Took Vegas for Millions," by Ben Mezrich.
