STRUTHERS -- A five-run fourth inning was the difference Thursday as the Struthers High baseball team posted a 10-2 victory over Hubbard in a Division II sectional tournament game.
Jim Kribel (3-4), a junior, pitched a complete game for the Wildcats (6-16) as he struck out seven.
Steve Stenglein hit a pair of doubles and a single for the Wildcats and drove in three runs. Mike Galetta hit a pair of singles, drove in two runs and scored once.
Andrew Chick hit a home run for the Eagles.
Liberty 8, Wilson 2
YOUNGSTOWN -- The Leopards (4-8) built a 4-0 lead by the end of the second inning and the Redmen (4-14) couldn't catch up.
Junior Randy Burgett (1-2) pitched a complete game with 10 strikeouts to pick up his first win of the season.
The Leopards scored twice in the second inning as Sam Barker singled and scored on a double by Jeremy Hume, who scored on a passed ball.
West Branch 6,Akron Springfield 4
BELOIT -- Andy Todor (4-1) scattered seven hits over 51/3 innings to pick up the win for the Warriors (11-10).
Tom Orlando collected two hits to pace the Warriors, who travel to Canton Central Catholic next Thursday.
David Allen and Mike Piechuta each had two hits for Springfield (11-9).
Girard 18, Rayen 0
GIRARD -- Tom Williams collected a homer and a triple while Dan O'Neill hit a three-run homer for the Indians (12-7).
Mike Grumley also doubled for the Indians who used an eight-run fourth inning to open an 18-0 lead.
Girard will play at fourth-seeded Poland next Thursday.
Joe Castor (3-0) and Nick Canterino combined to hold the Tigers to two hits.
