BOXING Saturday's show features many locals



BELOIT -- The Plegge brothers -- Bobby, Dave and Dennis -- in conjunction with their Salem Boxing Club, will have an 11-bout amateur show Saturday night at West Branch High School.
There will also be fighters from Youngstown's Southside Boxing Club, P.C. Torres' Warren Boxing Club, Reggie Revere's club in Youngstown, the Old School Boxing Club in Cleveland and the Wooster Boxing Club.
The doors at the West Branch gym, 14277 Main Street, Beloit, will open at 6 p.m. and the first bout will be at 7:30. Ticket prices are $15 for ringside seats and $10 for general admission. All the bouts will be three-rounders with a girls fight in the sixth bout of the night between Danielle Bell from the Southside Boxing Club and Devan Rininger of the Salem Boxing Club.
Jack Loew, the longtime trainer at Southside, has had Bell in his gym for several months. He said, "She just might be one of the best female boxers I have ever seen."
The rest of the card is: Terry Tousha of Cleveland vs. Chris Fitzpatrick of Wooster, 154 pounds; Brent Nelson of Salem vs. Nicholas Coleman of Cleveland, 175 pounds; Nate Adams of Revere Boxing vs. Zade Malick of Warren, 158 pounds; Juan Salinas of Southside vs. John Barnett of Cleveland, 90 pounds; Charlie Fagan of Southside vs.. James Radman of Salem, 119 pounds; Brandon Williams of Cleveland vs. Nolan Sweteye of Salem, 175 pounds; Chris Hazimihalis of Southside vs. Dan Ross of Warren, 132 pounds, and Mick Orosz of Salem vs. Ryan Parks of Wooster, heavyweight. A light heavyweight and a super heavyweight bout will be added.
