TELEVISION Q & amp;A
Q: Please tell us who the housekeeper is on "Two and a Half Men." She is so good and adds lots to the show. What else has she been in? -- R.L., Roanoke, Va.
A: Veteran comic actress Conchata Ferrell plays housekeeper Berta on the CBS sitcom. She first made a splash on television in the short-lived series version of "Hot L Baltimore" (1975), playing lovable hooker April Green, a role she originated off-Broadway. She has far too many acting credits to list here, but highlights of her TV work include two seasons on the John Ritter sitcom "Hearts Afire," a season on "L.A. Law" (1991-92) as entertainment lawyer Susan Bloom, and the first year of "ER" (1984) as nurse Joan Thor. She also was in 2002's quickly canceled "Push, Nevada" series. You aren't the only one who likes her on "Two and a Half Men." Ferrell was upgraded from guest-starring status to regular cast member in March.
Q: I enjoyed a program titled "The Clinic" on Animal Planet, with Mike Farrell and a great cast. Any chance this will be made into a series? -- C.B., Roanoke, Va.
A: An Animal Planet spokesperson says "The Clinic" was planned as a pilot for a potential series, but wasn't picked up. So all we'll see is the two-hour movie that aired earlier this year.
