Last year: David Toms beat Vijay Singh, Robert Gamez and Brent Geiberger by two strokes in the inaugural tournament. Toms had a quadruple-bogey 8 on the final hole in a closing 73.
Last week: Singh won for the second straight week in a Monday finish, overcoming a late six-stroke deficit for a one-stroke victory in the HP Classic in New Orleans. Singh played the back nine in 7-under 29, capping a 63 with a 25-foot birdie putt. Masters champion Phil Mickelson and Joe Ogilvie tied for second.
Notes: Tiger Woods is making his first start since tying for 22nd in the Masters, 11 strokes behind Mickelson. Woods also struggled in his two other starts since winning the Match Play Championship, tying for 46th at Bay Hill and tying for 16th in The Players Championship. ... The tour will be in Texas the next two weeks for the Byron Nelson Championship in Irving and the Colonial in Fort Worth.

Last week: Filipino star Jennifer Rosales won the Chick-fil-A Charity Championship for her first LPGA Tour title, taking advantage of 18-year-old Aree Song's final-round collapse.
Notes: Michelle Wie is making her second LPGA Tour start of the year. The 14-year-old star finished fourth in the Kraft Nabisco Championship in March.
