Man gets prison for indecent assault

MERCER, Pa. -- A Volant man was sentenced to 11 to 25 months in prison for aggravated indecent assault. Judge Christopher St. John of Mercer County Common Pleas Court sentenced Patrick Magargee, 20 of Friendship Lane, for the felony. Magargee engaged in sexual conduct last July with a 9-year-old girl in Coolspring Township, according to court documents. Magargee will also serve five years' probation after his incarceration and was ordered to pay $220 restitution.
Lorraina Kane, 46, of Emerson Avenue, Wheatland, was sentenced to one year in the Intermediate Punishment program and ordered to pay $1,627 restitution for being in an accident while not properly licensed, a misdemeanor. The accident, which injured one person, occurred Dec. 23 at East State Street and Shenango Avenue, Sharon.
Jennifer King, 28, of West 10th Street, Greenville, was placed on two years' probation and ordered to pay $940 restitution for passing bad checks, a misdemeanor. According to court documents, she passed the checks last September and October at Wal-Mart, Hermitage.
