Essay Winners
U.S. Rep. Tim Ryan, D-17th, spoke Monday to members of the community and the Trumbull County Bar Association during the annual Law Day luncheon at Leo's Ristorante in Howland. Awards were given to the winners of the Law Week contest. Elementary pupils entered a coloring contest while middle school and high school pupils wrote essays:
Grade 1: Monica Kotuk, Notre Dame School Queen of All Saints, Warren.
Grade 2: Nick Conrad, Maplewood Elementary.
Grade 3: Harlie L. Metzinger, Seaborn Elementary, Weathersfield.
Grade 4: Victoria Cross, McKinley Elementary, Warren.
Grade 5: Brianna Davis, Southington Elementary.
Grade 6: Sydney B. Beck, Southington Elementary and Jill Cope, Howland Middle School.
Grade 7: Andrew Kaback, W.S. Guy Middle School, Liberty.
Grade 8: Amanda Pasha, McDonald High School.
Grade 9: Madeline Galbincea, Maplewood High School.
Grade 10, 11, 12: Raechelle Speaker, Chalker High School.
Multi-Media Award: Jessica Porter, Liberty High School.
