Trump to provide radio commentary
LOS ANGELES TIMES
Being a real estate tycoon, best-selling author and top-ranked TV personality just isn't enough for Donald Trump. Now "the Donald" has inked a deal with Clear Channel Radio for "Trumped!" -- syndicated weekday segments that will air on radio stations throughout the country starting June 15.
The 60- to 90-second commentaries will span business and nonbusiness topics and will air during morning drive time. During the second season of "The Apprentice," Trump will spend his Friday segments giving insight into why he fired the previous night's candidate.
"Donald Trump is huge. Not only is he one of the most successful businessmen in the world, but he's one of the biggest entertainers right now," said Sean Compton, Clear Channel's vice president of programming. "To get a celebrity like that and a guy as busy as that to do a daily commentary is huge for radio."
Specific radio stations are not yet determined.
