Factory fire's smoke closes freeway lanes

LOCKLAND, Ohio (AP) -- Suburban Cincinnati traffic was slowed Saturday as smoke from a four-alarm fire in a vacant luxury bed factory complex prompted officials to close freeway lanes for several hours.
One lane remained open on northbound Interstate 75 in this village just north of Cincinnati, the Ohio State Highway Patrol said.
The north and southbound lanes are separated by several blocks of industrial and residential neighborhood there, including the former Stearns & amp; Foster Co., which made beds and mattresses.
No injuries were reported in the fire in the mostly empty, three-story building, which partly collapsed as more than century-old wood beams fueled the flames.
The more than 150-year-old company was sold and closed last year. The buildings and contents were auctioned off in January.
