Going straight to jail

According to reports, an officer witnessed Stevens drive a vehicle into the parking lot of the Shell Foodmart on North State Street around 2:45 a.m. Sunday and begin peeling the tires. When the officer saw the vehicle had a flat tire and tried to tell Stevens of the car's condition, he noticed a strong smell of alcohol on Stevens' breath.
Stevens, who kept telling the officer he wanted to go home, admitted to police that he was at Woody's Bar when he walked outside and found a car running, so he got in and drove off, reports said.
Stevens was held in the city jail pending arraignment.
