XThe Friends of Hubbard Library will hold a spring book sale with a preview night from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday with admission of $5. The general sale will be from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday and Saturday with a $2-a-bag sale from 2 to 4.
CARD PARTIES/BINGO
XThe Parish Pastoral Council of Our Lady of Hungary Church, 545 N. Belle Vista Ave., Youngstown, will sponsor a spring card and bingo party at 2 p.m. May 16 at Cardinal Mindszenty Hall. FUND-RAISERS
XThe American Cancer Society will hold a 24-hour Austintown Relay for Life event Friday and Saturday at Austintown Fitch High School Stadium. The opening ceremony, 6 p.m. Friday, includes a victory lap by cancer survivors. Local groups and individuals will present continuous entertainment and there will be activities for adults and children. Featured will be a luminary ceremony. XBrownlee Woods Presbyterian Church, Midlothian and Irma avenues, Youngstown, will sponsor a spring thrift sale from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday, which will be $1-a-bag day.
XA rummage and bake sale is planned from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at Concordia Lutheran Church, 125 N. Brockway. Pizza and light lunch will be available. A dollar-a-bag sale will start at noon.
XChrist Community Church, 531 Neoka Drive, Campbell, will sponsor a rummage sale from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
XCortland United Methodist Church, 155 N. High St., Cortland, will hold a rummage sale from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. May 13, and a $2 a bag sale from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. May 14. Baked goods will be sold Thursday.
XEaster Seals will hold a garage sale from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday and Saturday at Ridgeview Plaza, state Route 422, Warren.
XNewton Falls United Methodist Church, 336 Ridge Road, Newton Falls, will hold a rummage and bake sale from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday and from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday. Hot lunches also will be available.

XMain Street Chagrin Falls, a non-profit organization dedicated to preserving America's downtowns, will sponsor an Herb and Flower Festival from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. May 15 in downtown Chagrin Falls in Riverside, Bell Street and Triangle parks. The event will feature herbs, flowers, plants, antiques, arts and crafts, garden merchandise, floral accessories and landscape and design information.
