Each year, the television networks go all out to capture viewers. This May, programmers will be using nostalgia and finales to pull us in.
SUNDAY, MAY 2
"THE PRACTICE," ABC, 10 p.m.: Dylan McDermott returns as attorney Bobby Donnell.
"THE BOOK OF RUTH," CBS, 9 p.m.: Drama about the relationship between a reticent young woman who has been degraded for years by her oppressive mother (Christine Lahti) and the shocking incident that frees them both from the ties that bind them together.
"10.5," NBC, 9 p.m., part one: Kim Delaney is an intellectual earthquake research scientist entrusted with saving the West Coast from a series of earthquakes that threaten to permanently separate it from the rest of North America.
MONDAY, MAY 3
"UNBREAKABLE," ABC, 8 p.m.: Writer-director M. Night Shyamalan hosts the television debut of his film. Shyamalan also shows clips of his new film "The Village," with interviews and more.
"10.5 ," NBC, 9 p.m., part two.
THURSDAY, MAY 6
"FRIENDS," NBC, 8 p.m.: A one-hour retrospective of the past 10 years.
"FRIENDS," NBC, 8 p.m.: The series finale of "Friends" finds Rachel, Monica, Phoebe, Joey, Chandler and Ross embarking on the next chapters in their lives.
SUNDAY, MAY 9
"HARRY POTTER AND THE SORCERER'S STONE," ABC, 7 p.m.: The magical tale makes its network television premiere, with exclusive interviews on the "Harry Potter" set. The film's stars, Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson and Rupert Grint, talk about their work in the movie. Includes material not in the original. After the movie, 10-minute sneak peek at the third film in the "Harry Potter" series, "Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban," opening in theaters June 4.
"SURVIVOR: ALL-STARS," CBS, 8 p.m.: The final four castaways will be whittled down to two, with the Ultimate Survivor revealed live, followed by a reunion show from Madison Square Garden at 10 p.m.
MONDAY, MAY 10
"A WRINKLE IN TIME," ABC, 8 p.m.: The children's classic by Madeleine L'Engle has been adapted as a three-hour made-for-television movie.
"THE PARKERS," UPN, 8 p.m., series finale: Stevie and T graduate from college and wedding bells ring for Nikki.
TUESDAY, MAY 11
"NYPD BLUE," ABC, 10 p.m., season finale.
"THE DICK VAN DYKE SHOW REVISITED," CBS, 9 p.m.: Hosted by Ray Romano, an all-new episode reunites Dick Van Dyke and Mary Tyler Moore as Rob and Laura Petrie, in the present day. Writers Rob (Van Dyke) and Sally (Rose Marie) each receive a phone call from Alan Brady (Carl Reiner) with a strange request, to write his eulogy before he dies. Classic clips will also be seen.
WEDNESDAY, MAY 12
"THE MENTALIST," NBC, 8 p.m.: A leading mentalist stars in this special demonstrating unbelievable acts of mental persuasion.
"THE CAROL BURNETT SHOW: LET'S BUMP UP THE LIGHTS," CBS, 10 p.m.: Carol Burnett reunites with Harvey Korman, Tim Conway, Vicki Lawrence and Lyle Waggoner to introduce never-before-seen clips.

"SUPER MILLIONAIRE," ABC, 9 p.m.: Regis Philbin returns with a five-night event. Contestants have a chance to win $10 million.
"THE PRACTICE," ABC, 10 p.m., series finale: Dylan McDermott concludes his guest-star arc as the series comes to a close.
"HELTER SKELTER," CBS, 8 p.m.: Based on the 1969 Tate-LaBianca murders, stars Jeremy Davies as Charles Manson and Bruno Kirby as prosecuting attorney Vincent Bugliosi.
MONDAY, MAY 17
"MOTOWN 45," ABC, 8 p.m.: Hosted by Lionel Richie and comedian Cedric the Entertainer. Two hours of music, performances by Motown legends and contemporary stars.
"FEAR FACTOR," NBC, 8 p.m., season finale: Teams of families compete.
"7TH HEAVEN," The WB, 8 p.m., season finale: Grandparents-to-be Eric (Stephen Collins) and Annie (Catherine Hicks) hop a plane for New York, despite Mary's repeated pleas for her family to stay away during labor.
"SUPER MILLIONAIRE," ABC, 10 p.m.
"CSI: MIAMI," CBS, 10 p.m.: Pilot episode for the latest spinoff of the "CSI" franchise, introducing this fall's "CSI: NY," when Horatio Caine travels to New York to investigate a murder case with his New York counterparts.
