CANFIELD -- One Step Further Physical Therapy has reopened its office at 3695 B Boardman-Canfield Road. The physical therapy and rehabilitation office and wellness center was destroyed by fire in 2001. Victoria Korb-Brown is the president and owner.

Contractors offer freeelectrical inspections
YOUNGSTOWN -- In honor of National Electrical Safety Month in May, the Mahoning Valley Econtractors, the local branch of a national network of electrical contractors, is offering free electrical safety inspections for homes and businesses in the Mahoning Valley.
Any area resident or business can call the Mahoning Valley Econtractors hotline at (330) 758-3995 in May and register for a free electrical safety inspection.
Formed in 2000, Econtractors is a national alliance of more than 800 electrical contractors throughout the country.
Defense contract
SALEM -- Miller-Holzwarth Inc., a Salem-based defense contractor, received a $280,000 contract from the U.S. Army for optical instruments. It was among federal contracts announced recently.
Employment companyhosts an open house
WEST MIDDLESEX, Pa. -- The Callos Companies, a regional staffing company based in Boardman, will hold an open house at its new office at 3143 Main St. from 7 to 10 a.m. Friday. Employee candidates may visit the office from 1:30 to 3 p.m.
The company said it wanted a Shenango Valley office to satisfy growing demand for temporary employment services. Along with light industrial and clerical temporary placement, Callos offers full-time recruiting, personnel consulting and outplacement services. The new office joins 12 Callos offices serving companies in western Pennsylvania, Ohio and northern West Virginia.
Workers' comp bureaumakes discount offers
COLUMBUS -- The Ohio Bureau of Workers' Compensation said companies that are members of safety councils will receive a one-time, 2 percent discount on workers' compensation premiums. Safety councils work with the BWC to increase safety awareness.
Also, safety councils that increase membership by at least 25 percent will receive a 25 percent subsidy bonus. BWC subsidizes safety councils. For more information, call (800) OHIOBWC.
Lead paint disclosure
MINERAL RIDGE -- A free seminar on lead-based paint disclosure will be part of the May 10 meeting of the Mahoning Valley Real Estate Investors Association. The meeting will be from 7 to 9 p.m. at Theodore's Banquet Center.
The seminar will be presented by Sherry Demar of Demar Realty; Michelle Wells, president of the investors association; and Misty Koletich of the Mahoning County District Board of Health. Topics will include disclosure procedures, inspection and clearance reports.
