Nick Vecchio didn't have a perfect game, but he was good enough, consistently, to finish with 822 in Camelot Outdoorsmen on April 14. Beating Vecchio's top game of 289 by one pin was Tom Morell.
George O'Connell's 805 was high series, while Joe Steiner's 300 and Josh Schall's 290 were top games among Bob's Service League bowlers at Wedgewood.
Bill Patalon had 300 in Lucianno's Men at Wedgewood on April 19, following April 5 action when Vince Thomas and Keith Noyes had 299s.
Lucianno's third 3rd champs with a 53-24 record was the Grist Mill team of Steve Harper Jr., John Calo, Shawn Skelton, Steve Harper Sr., Rick Skelton and Brian Groover. Kixx Racing (52-25) was the wild-card team. Bob Burke, Garry Wolfe, Bob M. Burke, Dennis Hamilton, Bill Patalon, Ron Lesko and Marshall McCree are Kixx members.
Adam Barta had 300-812 in Austintown Township-UAW 1112 Men at Wedgewood on April 14, when Rick Huebner and Nick Evans piled on 298s. Auto Magic's 1,320 recently was AT-UAW's third-highest actual game of the season.
Kaleel Brothers won all four quarters to become the St. Christine Men's League champion for 2003-2004. It was a first for the 12-team league at Wedgewood. Kaleel's first-quarter margin was 1/2 point and the others were by one point. Each quarter's race came down to the final week. The Kaleel members are Joe Shugart, Bob Shugart, Ron Kaleel, Larry Premec, Tom Zak and Dom Capezzuto.
Before the Holiday Mixed Variety season ended, Bob Smolko managed his third 800 in three years in the league. The 22-year-old Smolko bowled 290-806 on April 3. Smolko, of Struthers, had a career-high 846 two seasons ago, followed by an 803 last season, both in Mixed Variety.
During Week 32 action of the Kelley-Robb Funeral Classic at Bell-Wick, Mark Ferrara had 300 on April 22.
O.T. Beight defeated Bahama Tanning to win the Allied Printcraft title at Holiday. Beight members are John Petretich, Chuck Newton, Jack Ralston, Bob Fusco and Ricky Hornyak.
Pinheads won the Merlinettes crown at Camelot and Alpha was the runner-up, while Caprice Health Care Center was king of the Camelot Queens League.
Class Rebels of Andrea Morrison, Alice Hawkins, Molly Mellott and Amy DeSantis won School Belles' second half at Wedgewood where the Spares team won the Golden Gals Trio championship.
G & amp; S Refrigeration defeated Gulu Electric to win the Tri-County Classic championship at Holiday. G & amp; S members are: Greg Spatholt, Bill Spatholt, Dan Wilkos, Joe Kocsis, Bill Buckley and Mike Rohan Jr.
Also at Holiday, Bob Eisenbraun Jr. had another Max Belchyk Classic 300 on April 15, bringing his league total to four, his season total to six and his career total to 11. Eisenbraun also rolled a 300 at the state tournament at Lex Lanes in Mansfield last weekend.
Super Subers won Monday Night Mixed's fourth quarter at A-Plus Family with James Tinker, Debbie McElroy, Linda Stewart, Alex Tremble and Pete Suber, while Five Alive won F.D. Mason Classic's fourth quarter with J. Otis Coleman, G. "Hawk" Waker, William Cousin, Willie Provitt and Larry Bush.
Chris Koneval's 254-672 topped Bell-Wick Majors on April 17 -- the junior league's 34th of 36 weeks.
Pagz won Hubbard Businessmen's fourth quarter at Bell-Wick.
