Gehring's no-hit game leads Rams
She had 15 strikeouts in a 12-0 win as Mineral Ridge swept Sebring.
SEBRING -- Kaili Gehring (9-1) pitched a no-hitter with 15 strikeouts and one walk to lead the Mineral Ridge High softball team to a 12-0 win in the nightcap of a doubleheader sweep Saturday against Sebring.
Katie Garland went 5-for-5 with all singles and two RBIs for the Rams (11-4).
Melanie Sparks contributed three singles and three RBIs and Jami Goodman a double and three RBIs.
In the Rams' 11-6 win, Emily Sheller pitched a six-hitter while Sparks had three singles and three RBIs.
Garland and Heather Buckner had two singles and two RBIs apiece.
Springfield 3, South Range 2
NORTH LIMA -- The Tigers (10-4, 8-2 Inter-County League) benefited from six Raiders' errors in winning to remain one game back of Mineral Ridge in the ICL standings. Colleen Platt tossed a six-hitter.
For South Range (4-8, 2-5), Heather Stacy tripled and doubled, and Kasey Knopp doubled.
Boardman 9-3,Columbus DeSales 0-0
BOARDMAN -- Ashley DiDomenico had six strikeouts and two walks in pitching a one-hitter .
At the plate, DiDomenico had a double, single and drove in two runs.
Also for Boardman, Sarah Albani had three singles and three RBIs while Mallory Hay had two singles and two RBIs.
Jaclyn Corroto had two singles and scored twice while Danielle Burin had two singles an RBI and scored twice.
In the second game, Albani pitched a three-hitter in her first varsity start. Albani, a junior, struck out two and walked one. Burin had two singles and scored while Hay and DiDomenico added RBI singles for Boardman (16-2).
The losses dropped DeSales to 11-8.
Champion 7, Marlington 0
CHAMPION -- Kasey Karr and Lauren Seafert combined to toss a two-hitter for the Golden Flashes (12-4).
Emily Hayes homered for Champion while Jessica Carpenter had two hits and two RBIs.
Marlington dropped to 11-4.
Girard 4-11, Campbell 1-4
GIRARD -- Nicole Melfi pitched a two-hitter with15 strikeouts and three walks to lead Girard's 4-1 win in the opener.
Angela DePiero had a double and single and two RBIs for the Indians (7-13).
In the nightcap, Kelsey Tondo-Kramer pitched a five-hitter while Bondor had a double, single and three RBIs to key Girard's 11-4 win in an abbreviated game because of the 10-run rule.

COLUMBIANA -- Jessica Sferra tossed a three-hitter and struck out 11 batters. Lisa Workman's double scored Jen Harroff for the only run.
In the second game, Harroff had two hits for Crestview.
