Bernadette Chen to wed Eric Lloyd May 29 in Illinois

XAUSTINTOWN -- The engagement of Dr. Bernadette Chen and Dr. Eric A. Lloyd, both of 112 S. Harvey Ave., Oak Park, Ill., is being announced by his parents, Terry and Roey Lloyd of Austintown.
The bride-elect is a daughter of Drs. George and Siu Lee Chen of Lakewood.
The couple will extend invitations for their 2:30 p.m. wedding on May 29 at St. Catherine of Siena and St. Lucy Catholic Church in Oak Park, and for their evening reception at Old Orchard Country Club, Mount Prospect, Ill. A postnuptial reception will be held by invitation in June at Tippecanoe Country Club, Canfield.
The future bride and her fiance earned bachelor's degrees at Youngstown State University and graduated with medical degrees from Northeastern Ohio Universities College of Medicine in Rootstown.
Dr. Chen will complete a three-year pediatric residency program at Advocate Christ Hospital in Oak Lawn, Ill., in June and will begin a perinatal-neonatal medicine fellowship at Children's Memorial Hospital in Chicago in July.
At the end of June, Dr. Lloyd will complete a three-year pediatric residency program at Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge, Ill., and in July will begin a pediatric critical care fellowship at Children's Memorial.
