Parents announce Brdek-Slocum wedding plans

XPlans for the upcoming marriage of Samantha F. Brdek and Andrew C. Slocum, both of Glendale Heights, Ill., are announced by their parents, George J. Sr. and Alicia D. Brdek of Youngstown and Thomas A. and Sally Slocum of Akron.
The bride-elect graduated from Case Western Reserve University with a bachelor's degree in computer science. She is employed at Glenwood Dental Care in Glendale Heights.
The prospective groom holds a bachelor's and a master's degree in computer science from CWRU. He is employed at Thought Works in Chicago.
An open wedding has been planned by the couple for 4 p.m. April 17 at Austintown Community Church. Invitations will be issued for a reception to be held after the ceremony at Shangri La in Canfield.
