XCHICAGO -- A reception was held March 13 at the ballroom of the Art Institute of Chicago in honor of Gregory Scott Smith and his bride, the former Kimberly Ann McKay, following their 3:30 p.m. wedding at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church.
The couple exchanged nuptial vows in the presence of the Rev. John Blazek. After accepting congratulations, they left on a wedding trip to the Hawaiian islands.
The daughter of David and Carol McKay of Boardman and son of William and Pamela Smith of Andover, Mass., live in Chicago.
The bride's sleeveless ivory silk chiffon sheath gown was enhanced with pearls and crystal beading and featured a sweep train.
Amethyst-colored gowns were worn by Kourtney McKay, the honor attendant; Jennifer Flynn, Allyson Murphy, Jennifer Geraci, Nathalie Hibble, and Carrie Earley, bridesmaids; and Lexi Grdic, flower girl.
James Murphy served as best man, and groomsmen were David Ames, Jonathan Cignetti, Sean Murphy, Matthew Peabody, and Duane Sigsbury. Also participating were Catherine Laboe, Melissa Kearney, Nate Ross, and Christopher Cosenza.
The bride graduated cum laude from the University of Notre Dame with a bachelor's degree in business administration in marketing and international business.
The groom, a client specialist with Aon Risk Services in Chicago, holds a bachelor's degree in finance from the University of Arizona.
