GIRARD
March 21
Criminal damage: A Greenville, Pa., man reported his car window was shattered as he drove near Interstate 80 and U.S. Route 422. No objects were found in the vehicle.
Vandalism: Someone shot a front window at Charter One Bank, 35 S. State St.
Thefts: A man in the 300 block of Illinois Avenue reported his wife's vehicle was ransacked and that his car was broken into. A bottle of pepper spray and $15 to $20 were missing.
March 22
Vandalism: An employee at Second National Bank, 29 E. Liberty St., discovered glass covering the screen to an automated-teller machine had been shattered.
March 23
Burglary: A Church Hill Road man found the door to his mother's South Davis Street home ajar and a window pane broken. Nothing was reported missing.

March 17
Misuse of a credit card: An employee at SVS, 6420 Belmont Ave., reported a man used a fraudulent credit card to pay for a $1,098 subwoofer speaker.
Arrest: A 39-year-old McDonald man was arrested at a Speedway gas station, 4495 Belmont Ave., and charged with failure to appear in court on a traffic charge. He also was wanted on a warrant from Niles charging him with receiving stolen property.
March 18
Unauthorized use of a vehicle: An Oakland Drive man alleged a woman, 40, used his 1987 Cadillac Fleetwood and failed to return the car.
Assault: A 31-year-old Youngstown man was arrested at Wendy's, 4001 Belmont Ave., on charges of assault and aggravated trespassing. An employee there alleged the suspect walked behind the counter and punched him in the mouth. The victim had a swollen lower lip.
March 19
Theft: An employee at Wendy's restaurant discovered $30 was removed from her jacket in the restaurant's break room.
Recovered property: A Canfield woman found a debit card and an identity card in a parking lot in the 3000 block of Green Acres Drive.
Theft: A Youngstown man reported his wallet containing $500 stolen from his car parked at Big Lots, 3491 Belmont Ave.
March 20
Criminal damage: A woman in the 100 block of Euclid Boulevard reported someone left deep scratches on two pieces of furniture.
Breaking and entering: Someone forced open a freezer door behind Arby's, 3551 Belmont Ave., and removed about $500 worth of assorted frozen food items.
Criminal damage: A Vienna woman told police someone tried to pry open a door to a residence in the 1000 block of Trumbull Avenue.
Theft: An employee at the Tallyho-tel, 4249 Belmont Ave., said a Girard man failed to pay a $44.52 room charge.
Arrest: After conducting a traffic stop near the Liberty Plaza, 3551 Belmont Ave., police arrested a Girard man, 31, on one count of failure to appear in court to face a charge of having no operator's license, as well as a charge of having an open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle.
Arrest: A 23-year-old Youngstown woman was arrested at St. Elizabeth Health Center, 1044 Belmont Ave., on a felony warrant charging her with forgery. She also was charged with receiving stolen property, passing bad checks and driving under suspension.
March 21
Breaking and entering: A Youngstown man reported someone removed a padlock and broke into a box truck parked on Trumbull Hill Avenue and took 192 boxes of croutons, as well as $160 worth of cakes and other bakery products.
Assault: A Girard man alleged two men, 22 and 23, jumped him and beat him up in the Choices Niteclub parking lot, 1620 Motor Inn Drive. The victim sought medical treatment after being punched several times in the face and suffering cuts above both eyes.
Theft, criminal damage: An employee at Aim Nationalease, 1500 Trumbull Ave., discovered a tractor-trailer was broken into. A $300 cellular phone and a $50 citizens band radio were taken.
Theft: Someone broke into a garage belonging to the Liberty Township Road Department on Gypsy Lane and removed an electric drill and two sander-grinder devices. Estimated amount of the loss was $600.
HUBBARD
March 16
Arrest: Police arrested a Moore Street woman at her home on a warrant from Hermitage, Pa., charging her with retail theft and corruption of minors.
March 17
Fraud: An employee at Francesco Pizzeria, 617 W. Liberty St., reported someone used a company account to charge items at Patton's IGA Super Center, 880 W. Liberty St., without his knowledge or approval.
March 19
Criminal damage: A man in the 300 block of Eastwood Drive reported damage to his hot tub.
Possible theft: A man reported his license plate lost or stolen while he was in the 800 block of West Park Avenue.
March 20
Criminal damage: A man discovered someone shot a BB through a front window to his home in the 600 block of Meadowland Drive.
Theft: A woman in the 100 block of Youngstown-Hubbard Road reported the theft of her mail.
March 21
Arrest: A Vienna man was arrested on state Route 7 on a warrant charging him with failure to appear in court on a charge of driving under suspension.
Theft: An employee at Devine's Shop 'n' Save, 529 N. Main St., reported a man attempted to use a credit card thought to be stolen and that, when confronted, he fled.
Criminal mischief: A man in the 400 block of Rebecca Avenue reported someone splattered mayonnaise or cake icing on his residence.
March 22
Arrest: After a theft at Dollar General, 886 W. Liberty St., police arrested a woman on a charge of driving under suspension. She also was wanted on a warrant charging her with probation violation and misuse of a credit card.
Criminal damage: An employee at ATC Lighting Co., 400 Myron St., found about 60 windows broken, and a broken ceramic statue in the rear parking lot.
