XCOLUMBUS -- Franklin Park Conservatory in Columbus was the setting at 2:30 p.m. Feb. 28 as Wendalyn Russ and John Carney, both of 2230 Sunleaf Court, were united in marriage in a ceremony solemnized by the Revs. Art Hadley and Dean Mathewson.
A reception was held afterward at the Columbus Athenaeum for the daughter of Louis and Angela Russ, state Route 114, Morgan, Vt., and the son of James and Marlane Carney, 401 Jaronte Drive, Boardman.
The couple honeymooned at Nassau in the Bahamas, and live in Columbus.
Swavorski crystals enhanced the bride's two-piece diamond white silk gown that featured a corseted back.
Wearing plum-colored gowns were the honor attendant, Sarah Labor, and the bridesmaids, Atlantis Russ and Gretchen Russ, sisters of the bride. Flower girl was the groom's niece, Alexandra Bueno.
The duties of best man were performed by the groom's brother, Jim Carney, and serving as groomsmen were Brian Geletka and Mark Senediak.
The bride graduated from the University of Rhode Island in Kingston, R.I. with a bachelor's degree in pharmacy. She is the director of pharmacy at Bio Scrip Pharmacy.
The groom earned a bachelor's degree in operations management from the University of Cincinnati. He is employed in the design/distribution material handling systems at Raymond Storage Concepts.
