Kimberly Sweed, Dr. Jason MacDonald plan May 15 ceremony in Canfield

XKimberly Anne Sweed, 24 Court St., Canfield, and Dr. Jason A. MacDonald, 1211 Tall Grass Circle, Stow, are engaged.
The bride-to-be is a daughter of Elizabeth Ann Sweed of the Canfield address, and Jerry L. Sweed, 6551 Lockwood Blvd., Boardman. The prospective groom is a son of Janice O'Brien MacDonald, 10212 Provincetown Court, Fairfax, Va., and Lawrence R. MacDonald, 717 N. Fillmore, Arlington, Va.
Miss Sweed graduated from West Virginia University in Morgantown, W.Va., with a bachelor's degree in speech pathology and audiology. She is a special education teacher with The Mollie Kessler School in Youngstown.
Dr. MacDonald is an assistant professor in the political science department at Kent State University in Kent. He earned a bachelor's degree in political science at Boston University in Boston and a doctorate in political science at George Washington University in Washington, D.C.
St. Michael Church in Canfield will be the setting for the couple's wedding planned for 1:30 p.m. May 15. An early evening reception will take place at Stambaugh Auditorium in Youngstown. Invitations will be extended for the ceremony and reception.
