Surprise party held for Pughs on anniversary

XPETERSBURG -- Emmanuel Lutheran Church in New Springfield was the setting at March 6 for a surprise celebration held in honor of Mr. and Mrs. Keith Pugh, 14385 Petersburg-Unity Road, on the occasion of their 50th wedding anniversary.
Invitations for the event were issued by their children, Robin Popio of Petersburg and Keith Pugh Jr. of McDonough, Ga., and a granddaughter. There are also four other grandchildren and two great-grandchildren in the family.
The former Donna Hash and Mr. Pugh were united in marriage on March 8, 1954, at the Chapel of Friendly Bells in Youngstown.
Mrs. Pugh is a homemaker and member of the Eastern Star Lodge, Columbiana Chapter 428. Mr. Pugh served with the U.S. Marine Corps and retired in 1995 from Roth Brothers in Youngstown where he was employed as a roofer. He is a member of the Grand Lodge, Free and Accepted Masons of Ohio, and the Aut Mori Grotto of Youngstown.
