XNILES -- Pleasant Valley Church provided the setting for the Feb. 14 wedding of Nicole Louise Cuevas of Youngstown and Dion Jason Matthews of Austintown.
The Rev. Jim Erb officiated at the 3 p.m. ceremony for the daughter of Jose and Nancy Cuevas of Youngstown and the son of Barbara Jones of Austintown and the late Robert Matthews.
A reception took place at Willow Creek in Girard. The couple live in Youngstown.
The bride wore a white, A-line gown enhanced by beaded-band detail and split-back train.
Mrs. Matthews is employed as a medical receptionist with Fifth Avenue Otolaryngologists in Youngstown. She attended ETI Technical College.
Mr. Matthews is an independent sales representative with Free Life International. He graduated from TDDS Technical Institute.
The bride's sister, Kristy Cuevas of Youngstown, was honor attendant. Bridesmaids were Lisa Cuevas, Youngstown, the bride's cousin, and Lauren Wine, Liberty, the groom's niece. They wore apple-red dresses.
Paul Gustinella, Youngstown, performed the duties of best man. Groomsmen were Dion Matthews, Austintown, the groom's nephew; Isaac Matthews, Isaiah Matthews and Elijah Matthews, all of Youngstown, sons of the couple; and Will Boykin, Youngstown. Ring bearer was Devin Matthews, Youngstown, the couple's son. Ushers were Brandon Wine, Liberty, and Bobby Matthews, Austintown, the groom's nephews.
